Thomastik Infeld VI-04 violin string G-4 4/4 medium, synthetic core, silver wound

The Thomastik Infeld VI-04 G-4 4/4 is a reliable replacement for the G string of a full-sized violin, featuring a synthetic core and silver winding. This combination produces balanced tension and a bright, full tone that projects well in both chamber music and orchestral settings. The medium gauge offers direct response for bowing and retains sufficient body in the lower register, allowing notes to remain sharply defined in both powerful and subtle articulations. The synthetic core maintains tone stability under varying environmental conditions, reducing the need for tuning during rehearsals and performances. This VI-04 G-string is ideal for violinists who value reliable intonation and clear presence in the G region. Whether playing classical sonatas, baroque repertoire, or contemporary pieces, the silver winding imparts a sheen that brightly touches the timbre without feeling heavy. The 4/4 size and medium tension make it a practical choice for daily practice and live performances, providing a consistent connection between the G-string and the rest of your string set.
