Thomastik Infeld VI-02-ST violin string A-2 4/4 heavy, synthetic core, aluminum wound

The Thomastik Infeld VI-02-ST A-string for 4/4 violin combines a synthetic core with an aluminum winding. Its heavy gauge provides extra tension, resulting in a quick response, sharp articulation, and solid projection in both orchestral and solo settings. The synthetic core offers stability under varying temperatures and humidity, ensuring consistent intonation and tone throughout extended practice sessions and performances.

Especially for professional violinists and advanced players who require a responsive string with sufficient tension in the A position, the VI-02-ST offers balanced timbre and sustain in the upper registers without sacrificing playing comfort. Thanks to the aluminum winding, the string maintains clarity in the overtones, while the synthetic core feels pleasant for rapid phrasing and long legato lines.
