More information about this Pirastro
More information about this Pirastro
The Pirastro P211421 G-4 Extra Soft is a gut core violin string with a gold-silver winding, specifically designed for the G string of violins. Thanks to its extra soft design, this string has a lower tension, which softens playing and produces a warm, open tone that is well-suited for both lyrical melodies and short orchestral passages. The gold-silver winding provides clarity and projection, while the gut core maintains the authentic tonality and response that players seek in gut strings.
This string is an excellent choice for violinists seeking a rich, characterful tone with greater expressive flexibility. Keep in mind the sensitivity of gut strings to moisture and climate: careful storage, regular tuning, and adequate temperature control will help maintain tone stability and extend their lifespan.
Specifications:
- Violin G string: G-4, extra soft
- Core: Gut
- Winding: Gold-silver
- Gauge: 15 1/4
- Brand/Model: Pirastro P211421
